Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best known for playing House in the Fox medical drama House. As a child of very strict Jewish background she was able to move from Wayne in the state of Wayne to New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of Arts. Soon after, she was involved with club culture and caused enough controversy to attract the attention of the media. Then, she combined her fame and talent with the ability to write and compose to create a show called Positive Me. Awake to the Wild Side, a show she hosted for MTV became her first task. Her first appearances in TV and film shows after the show ended. In the beginning, she appeared in smaller roles.
